Overview
The UNESCO Water Challenge for Young Innovators 2025 supports young innovators in developing practical, impactful responses to water challenges in Vietnam. Through interdisciplinary learning, expert connection, seed funding opportunities, project testing, and international science platforms, the program helps participants transform early ideas into solutions that contribute to SDG 6 and sustainable water resource management.

Institute for Innovation and Development (IID)
IID co-organizes and implements the program, connecting young innovators with mentors, experts, and ecosystem opportunities.

Open call and participant engagement
Young innovators are invited to identify water challenges and form ideas that respond to real community and environmental needs.

Expert mentoring and solution development
Participants receive guidance from experts to refine ideas, test assumptions, and strengthen the feasibility of their solutions.
- October – November 2025
Project testing and showcase
Selected teams develop stronger prototypes and present solutions through program platforms and international science opportunities.
